| Marking / Label | "Earth Bonding Point" & "1MΩ" clearly printed on the front. |
| Mounting Type | Wall or Bench Mount (with mounting holes on the base) |
| Connection Ports | • 2 x M5 Threaded Stud Terminals: For secure, semi-permanent wire connections using ring or spade terminals. • 1 x Standard 4mm Banana Jack Socket: For convenient connection/disconnection of test leads, wrist strap coils, or tools with banana plugs. |
| Integrated Safety Feature | Each connector path is integrated with a precision 1 Megohm (1MΩ) safety resistor, clearly marked as "1MΩ" on the unit. |
| Attached Cable | 1 x Integrated 3-meter Black PVC Insulated Cable. |
| Cable Termination | Single M5 Ring Terminal (Crimp-type) at the free end, for secure attachment to a verified earth grounding point (e.g., grounding busbar, stud, or designated terminal). |
| Primary Function | Provides a designated, current-limited Common Point Ground (CPG) or Bonding Point in an ESD Protected Area (EPA). It safely dissipates static charges from personnel and equipment connected to its snap connectors. |
| Key Application | Creating safe and compliant grounding stations in ESD Protected Areas (EPA) for electronics manufacturing, repair benches, laboratories, cleanrooms, and handling areas for static-sensitive devices (SSDs). |
| Resistor Purpose | Limits current to a safe level (<5mA) for personnel protection in the unlikely event of accidental contact with live voltage, while allowing static electricity to drain safely. |
| Housing Material | High-impact, flame-retardant plastic ABS |
| Contact Material | 10mm Snaps: Brass or steel, typically nickel-plated for good conductivity and durability. |
| Safety & Compliance | Designed to meet the requirements of international ESD control standards, specifically ANSI/ESD S6.1 (Grounding) and IEC 61340-5-1, for the implementation of a Personnel Grounding system. |
| Wiring & Installation | 1. Securely mount the unit to the workbench or wall. |
| 2. Connect the M5 ring terminal to a verified Building Earth Ground / Equipment Grounding Conductor (EGC). | |
| 3. Connect user wrist straps or other ESD equipment to the 10mm snap connectors. | |
| Packing Specification | 1pc/PE Bag; 200pcs/Export Carton |
| Carton Details | Size: 53×40×40cm; Gross Weight: 12.5kg/ctn; Net Weight: 13.5kg/ctn |

Thank you for choosing our professional ESD safety equipment. This detailed guide will ensure its correct installation, operation, and help you understand its key differences from plug-type grounding devices.
1. Product Overview
This Earth Bonding Point (EBP) is a critical component for establishing a safe, current-limited Common Point Ground (CPG) in any Electrostatic Discharge Protected Area (EPA). It must be permanently connected to a verified building earth ground to safely dissipate static charges from personnel and equipment, protecting sensitive electronic components (ESDS).
2. Safety Warnings (READ BEFORE INSTALLATION)
Important: This unit is a Bonding Point only. It must be connected to a verified Earth Ground.
Never plug this device into a power outlet. It is not an ESD grounding plug.
The internal 1MΩ resistors are for personnel safety only, limiting current in case of accidental contact with live voltage. They do not replace proper equipment grounding.
Installation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with local electrical and ESD codes (e.g., ANSI/ESD S6.1, IEC 61340-5-1).
3. Package Contents
Yellow Earth Bonding Point Unit (with pre-attached 3-meter black cable) x 1
Mounting Screws (as per picture) x 2
Instruction Sheet x 1
4. Installation & Wiring Procedure
Step 1: Choose Mounting Location
Select a firm, accessible location on the workstation frame, wall, or bench leg within the EPA. Ensure it is near the users' normal working position.
Step 2: Mount the Unit
Use the provided screws to securely and permanently fasten the unit to the chosen metal surface via its mounting holes (visible on the side/back).
Step 3: Connect to Earth Ground (MOST CRITICAL STEP)
Locate your facility's verified Equipment Grounding Conductor (EGC), grounding busbar, or dedicated earth stud.
Loosen the terminal screw on the grounding point.
Place the M5 Ring Terminal (at the end of the attached black cable) under this screw.
Tighten the screw securely to ensure a metal-to-metal contact with low resistance. This connection is permanent.
Step 4: Verify Ground Connection
Mandatory: After installation, use a certified Continuous Monitors or a ground resistance tester to verify that the resistance from any 10mm snap on the bonding point to the facility ground is less than 1 ohm. The 1MΩ resistor is in series and will show a high resistance to a standard multimeter-this is normal.
Step 5: Connect ESD Equipment
Connect operator wrist straps, workbench mats, or other ESD equipment to the unit's three 10mm Standard Snaps (Press-Studs). The internal 1MΩ resistor in each path ensures safe static dissipation.
5. Daily & Periodic Checks
Visual Check (Daily): Confirm all snap connections are secure and the grounding cable is undamaged.
Functional Test (As per ESD Control Plan): Regularly test the integrity of the ground path using an ESD wrist strap or continuous monitor tester.

Feature |
This Product: Earth Bonding Point (Wall-Mount) |
Other Type: ESD Grounding Plug (Portable) |
|---|---|---|
|
Primary Function |
Permanent, Dedicated Grounding Point. Part of a fixed EPA infrastructure. |
Portable Grounding Adapter. Provides a temporary ground connection point. |
|
Ground Source |
Direct Connection to the building's Equipment Grounding Conductor (EGC) via a dedicated wire (M5 terminal). |
Derived from a properly grounded Power Outlet's Earth Pin (e.g., Schuko/Type F). |
|
Installation |
