Instructions for Use
A. Inspection & Preparation:
Before use, visually inspect the bag for any tears, holes, or damage to the zip-lock seal. Do not use if damaged.
For optimal protection, handle bags in an ESD-Protected Area (EPA). Use grounded wrist straps and ESD-safe worksurfaces.
B. Packing the Component:
Ensure the sensitive device (e.g., IC, PCB) is clean and dry.
Open the bag by separating the zip-lock seal along its entire length.
Place the device inside the bag. Avoid sliding components against the inner surface to minimize triboelectric charging.
Ensure the device does not interfere with the sealing track of the zip-lock.
C. Sealing the Bag:
Press the zip-lock track firmly together from one end to the other until a complete seal is formed. You should hear or feel a slight "click" or engagement.
Ensure the seal is uniform and fully closed along its entire length to prevent air and contaminant ingress.
D. Identification & Storage:
The pre-printed "PINK ANTISTATIC BAG" label, ESD warning symbol (lightning bolt in triangle), and handling icons provide clear identification and handling instructions for all personnel.
Store sealed bags in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong electrostatic fields.
For long-term storage or highly sensitive items, consider placing the sealed bag inside a secondary conductive or shielded container.
E. Reusability & Disposal:
The zip-lock design allows the bag to be opened and resealed multiple times without significant loss of antistatic properties, making it cost-effective.
At end of life, dispose of the bag according to local regulations for plastic (LDPE) recycling where facilities exist. The material is RoHS compliant.
Key Selling Points Highlighted:
Instant Recognition: Standard pink color and bold warning labels ensure proper handling.
Convenience & Reusability: Integrated zip-lock saves time and cost versus tape or heat seal.
Compliance Ready: Pre-printed with necessary warnings and RoHS compliance statement.
