Instructions for Use
Step 1: Storage & Preparation
Store rolls in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or strong electrostatic fields.
Handle in an ESD-Protected Area (EPA) whenever possible; ground personnel and worksurfaces.
Step 2: Unrolling & Cutting
Place the roll on a suitable holder or dispenser for smooth unwinding.
Unroll the required length of film.
Use a clean, straight-edge cutter or scissors to cut the film to the desired size. Ensure edges are even for proper sealing.
Step 3: Forming a Bag (if needed)
The film is double-layered and sealed on three sides, with one side open (flat bag style).
For a closed pouch:
a. Place the component between the two layers.
b. Leave sufficient margin (≥2cm) on the open side for sealing.
For a larger wrap: the film can be used as a single layer to envelop items completely.
Step 4: Sealing
Use a standard impulse heat sealer or a constant-heat bar sealer.
Recommended sealing settings (test first):
Temperature: 130°C - 160°C (266°F - 320°F)
Dwell Time: 0.5 - 1.5 seconds
Pressure: Medium
Ensure the sealing area is clean and flat. For a secure pouch, seal the open side completely.
Step 5: Inspection & Handling
After sealing, check that the seal is uniform, firm, and free of voids or burns.
Label the package if required (the pink color already indicates ESD-safe material).
For added protection during storage or transport, place sealed items in a shielded container or conductive tote.
Step 6: Best Practices
This film is permanently anti-static; properties do not diminish with time or humidity.
The material is RoHS compliant and safe for contact with electronic components.
It can be reused for internal handling if carefully opened and remains undamaged.
For high-volume conversion, consider automated bag-making machines compatible with LDPE anti-static film.
